Who We Are
United Distributors Pakistan Limited (UDPL) has a long history of robust activity in the agricultural sector. UDPL came into existence in 1981 with a passion to serve the farming community of Pakistan. Initially, UDPL worked as a distribution partner of global Ag companies and Dow Agri sciences, FMC, and Pioneer. Later on, UDPL became a joint venture partner for FMC and Pioneer in 1991 and helped to grow the business of both companies without having local subsidiaries.
After successful partnerships for almost two decades, UDPL decided to develop its portfolio of crop protection chemicals, fertilizers, and micronutrients. Currently, UDPL is operating as a complete business organization having its formulation plant in Karachi, warehouses in all 4 provinces, a strong commercial team, and good quality product suppliers from China, Thailand, Turkey, and Germany. It’s well recognized among the growers and considered a reliable brand name with nonpareil quality products.

Asad Abdulla
Mr. Asad Abdulla has been associated with the IBL group since 2002 in various operating capacities. He is a Certified Director from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan and is serving as a Director on the Boards of; International Brands Limited, United Distributors Pakistan Limited, FMC United (Pvt.) Limited, IBL Operations (Pvt.) Limited, Trax Online (Pvt.) Limited.
Ayaz Abdulla
Mr. Ayaz Abdulla joined UDPL Board more than a decade ago, in addition, he also serves as Chief Strategy and E-Commerce Officer at Khaadi. He began his journey in Khaadi as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all the financial affairs of the company. Later, in his new role, Ayaz now heads Khaadi’s strategy department and the e-commerce portfolio, which is a core part of the Company’s future. In addition, he is responsible for streamlining spearheading the growth strategy for Khaadi and will continue to oversee Financial Planning and Analysis.
Prior to joining Khaadi, Ayaz was appointed the group CFO in 2016, after leading organizational transformation efforts at IBL group a company he joined over a decade ago. In his time there, he served also as CEO of International Franchises (QSR) among other C-suite roles at Searle Pharmaceuticals. He served on the boards and board audit committees of several publicly listed corporations. His areas of expertise include corporate finance and strategy, business management, and financial analytics.
Ayaz holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester, NY. He is a certified Director from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Pakistan.
Salman Chawla
Salman has over 15 years of experience in various sectors including Pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Chemicals, Engineering, and Financial Sectors. He has played a key role in Business Development, Corporate Governance, Corporate Affairs, and General Management. He is currently associated with NIT and is also representing the organization on a number of Boards. Salman holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IBA – Karachi and is also a Member of the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan. He is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).

Saqib Hamdani
Mr. Saqib Hmadani has over 30 years of established, acknowledged, and celebrated experience in Express & Logistics, Distribution, manufacturing, and Production. He has worked with companies like TCS, HTL, IBL, and UDL distributors. He has served as board of director and later CEO of TCS Express. Mr. Hamdani was Included in the “100 Business Leaders of Pakistan” 2013 Edition Published by Manager Today because of his exemplary leadership, and his achievements in the logistics sector.
He is a board Member of Pakistan Postal Services Management Board, Logistics Expert Mr. Hamdani does advisory and consulting for different Logistic businesses. He is board member of UDPL since July 2021
Samia Zuberi
Ms. Samia Zuberi is a Senior Human Resources Professional and Organizational Psychologist/Assessment Expert with more than 20 years of diverse management consulting experience. She is currently an Executive Senior Manager at Sidat Hyder Morshed Associates (Pvt) Limited, where she has worked for the past 21 years, playing a key role in the development and growth of the firm’s HR Consulting Practice. Currently serving as Director at Xcelsior Consulting (Pvt) Limited (XCPL), a Strategic Partner of SHMA, and working on several consultancy projects for both entities. She holds an MSc in Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London, and an MSc in International Relations from Quaid-e- Azam University in Pakistan. The Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance has certified her as a Board Director (PICG). Speaker at various management conferences in Pakistan, as well as Guest Faculty for MBA Program in renowned business schools.
She has been associated with UDPL as a director since Aug 2021.
Samie Cashmiri
Mr. Samie Cashmiri joined UDPL board in January 2021 as Director, in addition he has joined Khaadi as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in 2018, responsible for Pakistan’s commercial and retail operations. Key areas of focus include, expansion and optimizations of retail marketing, the network, and developing of inorganic opportunities.
Samie started his career as a management trainee with ICI and AkzoNobel two decades ago, and went on to lead multiple businesses units in Pakistan, Vietnam and Asia Pacific. He has managed both B2B and consumer facing businesses as VP Life Sciences at ICI Pakistan Ltd. He additionally has experience in Mergers and Acquisitions including one divestment and two acquisitions in his prior work at ICI Pakistan Ltd.
Samie holds a postgraduate degree from LUMS and has had international trainings at both Insead and IMD.
Najmul Hassan
Mr Najmul Hassan has joined UDL as Board of Director in June 2022. He is Chairman of Board in Maldives Islamic Bank representing ICD. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Gulf African Bank
He is an Experienced Director with a demonstrated history of working with foreign and national banks.
He holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (BE). He has done courses on Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania and Fintech from Oxford University UK.
Mr. Hassan has participated as a speaker in numerous workshops and seminars on topics related to Islamic Finance in Pakistan, Kenya, Saudi Arabia in addition to conducting training program with Dun & Bradstreet in Dubai, Bangladesh and training of Shariah scholars on AAOIFI standards, in UK with First Ethical.

Asmer Beg
Mr. Beg has over 20 years of experience in global blue-chip companies. He has been in the agri-sector for the last 13 years and primarily worked with the global agri-industry leader, Syngenta, where he did various roles in commercial space (marketing, sales, channel, business strategy), within and outside Pakistan, and his most recent role was Global Commercial Lead-Product Digitalization at Syngenta Switzerland. Mr. Beg’s initial career was in the FMCG sector where he worked at multiple positions in companies like Procter & Gamble and International Brands Ltd. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from IBA Karachi. Mr. Beg joined UDPL as CEO on December 1, 2021
Sohail Hasnain Ahmed
Mr. Sohail Hasnain Ahmed is associated with the Group since 2005 and working with UDPL as Chief Financial Officer. During his 13 years tenure at the Company, he has served in various functions, including team building, financial planning, banking relations, investment management, ERP implementation, Tax engineering, corporate structuring, Supply Chain, Human Capital Management, investor relations, and commercials & litigation. He is a finance professional with almost 22 years of experience spanning the entire gamut of Finance, including Business, Operations, Controllership, Supply Chain, Legal Compliances, Domestic Taxation, Treasury, Risk Management, and Strategic Initiatives, and Legal and Secretarial. He has been a strong proponent of Corporate Governance Practices and works closely with the Board and various Committees. Before joining the United Distributors Pakistan Limited, he was associated with multiple organizations having diverse business backgrounds including Dunkin Donut (IFL) as Head of Finance and Sysnet Pakistan Pvt. Ltd, Chartered Accountants firm. Mr. Hasnain holds ‘Masters in Business Administration’ (MBA) degree with specialization in Finance and also finalist of Associate Chartered Certified Accountants.
Mansoor Ali
Mr. Mansoor joined UDL Pakistan on Sep 12, 2022 as General Manager Business Development, where he is leading activities in current and emerging segments of agriculture industry in line with Company’s growth aspirations. Mansoor brings more than 20 years of experience in Marketing and business management. He was associated with companies like Syngenta, Corteva, Engro & NICL in various capacities. His area of expertise is strategic planning, marketing and business development. Mansoor is an MBA from Bahria Institute of Management & Computer Science, Karachi and started his career as management trainee at Berger Paints and later served agriculture for 17 years.
Syed Hamza Ali Hassan
Syed Hamza Ali Hassan, leading the Supply Chain Department since 2012. His association with the
Company spans over 11 years where he has single handedly lead overall supply chain function of the
Company. He has completed his B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics and Management in 2009 from University College Lahore, pursued his Graduate Diploma in Business & Social Sciences in 2010 and later completed his Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in 2011 with specialization in Ecological Farming and Food Production Systems from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. He possesses sound technical knowledge and understanding of Agriculture sector as before joining UDPL he has supported his Family agriculture and dairy business for a long spread of time. His attitude towards learning and implementing initiatives for Company’s betterment has propelled him into management role with the Company.
